AMWA CEO Tom Dobbins released the following statement today in response to EPA’s announcement of the pending departure of Assistant Administrator for Water Radhika Fox:

“AMWA congratulates Radhika Fox on her tenure as EPA's Assistant Administrator (AA) for Water, and the association applauds her partnership with the drinking water community to champion infrastructure funding and lead the agency's PFAS strategic roadmap implementation. The roadmap recognizes that protecting public health from PFAS pollution requires the federal government to do more to keep PFAS out of source waters and hold chemical producers and manufacturers accountable.

Among her many accomplishments, AA Fox is notable for her: tireless advocacy for the $50 billion investment for water projects, commitment to help underserved communities across the country access this historic funding, and other feats such as the Get the Lead Out and accelerator programs to remove lead service lines. Her efforts have supported the Office of Water’s mission of ensuring safe drinking water for all, and the association wishes her the best in her future endeavors."
