AMWA publishes an annual report to its membership that highlights accomplishments of the previous 12 months. The 2020 report uses the theme “Unprecedented Challenges, Extraordinary Response” to showcase the association’s response to the multiple unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, extreme weather events, increased focus on racial and social justice, cybersecurity threats, and the financial crisis. The report focuses on the association's programmatic achievements in legislation, regulation, utility sustainability and security, resilience, and management. It also spotlights the leadership contributions of AMWA's members, who have volunteered their time and expertise, including their regional COVID-19 response efforts, to advance the water sector.
