AMWA’s 2025 Annual Report spotlights the association’s policy and knowledge‑sharing achievements over the past year, including:
- Robust federal advocacy, including nearly 200 meetings on Capitol Hill to advance legislation on water affordability, PFAS cleanup liability, lead service line replacement financing, WaterISAC funding access, and infrastructure resilience;
- Extensive regulatory engagement, with more than 20 comment letters submitted to federal agencies and ongoing collaboration with EPA on revisions to PFAS drinking water standards and upcoming MDBP rule changes;
- New water quality research, including a forthcoming AMWA report analyzing Legionella occurrence in tap water samples from federal buildings;
- A strong year of knowledge sharing, featuring 12 webinars on emerging contaminants, CIP delivery methods, and other timely topics to support management operations;
- Record-setting Water Policy and Executive Management Conferences to highlight executive learning and peer exchange;
- Launch of AMWA’s new association management system, enabling improved communication, collaboration, and member engagement; and
- Membership growth, bringing total membership to 181 systems, the highest in more than a decade.
The report also highlights the essential contributions of AMWA members, whose expertise, leadership, and commitment to public service continue to strengthen the nation’s drinking water systems and advance the sector as a whole.
