AMWA’s paper about the green bond market was developed as a primer about the evolution of the green bond market. Released in 2016 and updated in 2017, the paper discusses best management practices for municipalities for issuing green bonds and describes available green bond standards and assessment tools. Several brief examples highlighting AMWA member experiences with issuing green bonds are presented.
