On June 29, AMWA submitted comments to EPA on its 2026 draft Interim PFAS Destruction and Disposal Guidance. The comments discussed the lack of definitive clarity currently available to drinking water systems on how to manage PFAS-containing materials, and identified shortcomings associated with the disposal and destruction methods the Agency encouraged in the Interim Guidance.
