On March 19, AMWA submitted comments to EPA on its advance notice of proposed rule-making (ANPRM) on the Amendment Reconsideration for the Clean Water Act Hazardous Substance Facility Response Plan Rule. The comments emphasize the importance of source water protection to drinking water systems, while also noting that water systems should be exempted from the threshold determinations in this rule given the duplication with other regulations.
