On November 7, 2025, AMWA submitted comments to EPA on the Agency's proposed revisions to its framework for conducting chemical risk evaluations under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). The letter emphasizes the importance of maintaining comprehensive risk evaluations and ensuring new chemical risk management responsibilities are not unreasonably transferred from manufacturers of chemicals to water systems.
