The AMWA Q1 all-membership meeting took place on Thursday, April 4, at 3:00 p.m. ET and featured:

  • A regulatory update on PFAS NDPWR, LCRI, and cybersecurity;
  • A legislative update on the Water Systems PFAS Liability Protection Act, LIHWAP, and EPA’s Affordability Needs Assessment;
  • A presentation from new AMWA members, John Zimmerman, General Manager of Truckee Meadows Water Authority, and Glenn Barnes, Director of Water Finance Assistance; and
  • A discussion from Jeff Brown, AMWA Board Member and Executive Director of Onondaga County Water Authority, and Susan Saffery, Government Relations Director of Seattle Public Utilities, on their advocacy experiences from AMWA's 2024 Water Policy Conference.
