Join AMWA and Arcadis on Tuesday, February 27, at 3:00 p.m. ET for a timely webinar, "Best Practices for Implementing and Institutionalizing a Lead Service Line Replacement Program," highlighting LSLR program approaches.
During the broadcast, thought leader Rebecca Slabaugh, Drinking Water Practice Lead, Arcadis, will provide an overview for funding LSLRs, contrast voluntary versus mandatory participation, and define access, including what is needed and who can authorize it. Participants will also hear two case studies from AMWA :
- Adam Hendricks, Applied Research Group Manager at Philadelphia Water Department, will discuss ownership, existing LSLRs as part of main construction projects, and the legal, financial, and participation issues with expanding the program.
- Leonard Kowalski, Executive Engineer at Erie County Water Authority, will discuss lead service line ownership, describe the New York State definition of an Authority, detail the application process for funding, highlight challenges with securing external funding, and more.
Following the case studies, attendees will engage with the speakers and one another during the Q&A session.
