Eligible drinking water systems and organizations have 21 days remaining to opt in to the PFAS settlements involving 3M and DuPont. Participation may allow systems to receive settlement payments, recover certain past expenses, and secure five years of protection should future PFAS testing yield a positive result.
AMWA encourages members to review the settlement materials and determine whether participation aligns with their system’s needs. Members may also revisit AMWA’s 2023 PFAS settlement webinar, which remain available and provide background on the settlement structure, eligibility considerations, and key decision points for utilities.
