AMWA will launch the next biennial INSIGHT utility financial survey later this summer, and will pilot a small group of member utilities to test the survey in its new AMS platform. This early review will help identify any workflow issues or platform bugs before full launch.
INSIGHT is a resource for utilities to help benchmark rate strategy, capital planning, long‑range financial discussions, and other key financial indicators. Many members rely on INSIGHT to strengthen board presentations, validate financial assumptions, and frame local decisions within a national context.
To help illustrate the value of INSIGHT, AMWA is also inviting members to share success stories from utilities that have used the survey in past cycles, whether to inform governance conversations, support rate proposals, or guide strategic planning. Member examples remain one of the most effective ways to demonstrate how benchmarking can shape decision‑making at both the utility and board level.
