With just one month remaining in the application period, AMWA encourages all eligible member utilities to finish their 2026 award submissions by their appropriate tier: Gold, Platinum, or Sustainability. All members who have never won the Environmental Justice and Equity Award are eligible to apply for this standalone honor.
AMWA’s awards program recognizes the country’s largest publicly owned drinking water systems, offering members a platform to showcase utility management excellence.
Recognition through AMWA:
- Demonstrates your utility’s commitment to high‑performance management;
- Elevates the value you deliver to the communities you serve;
- Strengthens your standing among peer systems and national partners; and
- Reinforces the shared identity and high standards that define AMWA membership.
Members can access the 2025 webinar How to Get Recognized: A Guide to AMWA’s Awards Program for a clear walkthrough of the full application and peer review process. Led by Awards Subcommittee Chair Robert Cheng, Assistant General Manager of Coachella Valley Water District, the session helps utilities identify their strengths, uncover opportunities for improvement, and craft a solid submission.
With the July 3 deadline approaching, now is the time to finalize and submit your application. AMWA will recognize honorees at the 2026 Executive Management Conference in Seattle, Washington, October 25–28, highlighting the leadership and achievements of AMWA member utilities.
