Honoring Utility Achievements and Individual Contributions
For more than two decades AMWA has provided utility recognition programs that honor extraordinary management and stellar workforce performance. A progressive series of awards was developed over the years: the Gold Award for Exceptional Utility Performance, the Platinum Award for Utility Excellence and the Sustainable Water Utility Management Award. Distinguished panels of peer judges evaluate award applicants, and the awards are presented each year at AMWA's Executive Management Conference.
Any number of AMWA member utilities may win the Gold, Platinum or Sustainability Award each year. In January, each AMWA member utility eligible for one of the management awards is sent the appropriate application form.
AMWA also honors individual accomplishments in the drinking water field through its President’s Award and Donald R. Boyd Award. Recipients of these awards are determined by the association’s Nominations Committee, and the awards are presented at the fall Executive Management Conference. Nominations are solicited in the summer by a bulletin from AMWA’s national office.
